How to Use
1 Save Drive name to createTemplates by this Application. A Folder "QuickTally" will be created in this Drive or Folder. When you click a button, a message may pop-up, follow that message. 2 Run Tally and set ODBC server active. 3 For this in 'Tally.ERP9' go to 'Gateway of Tally' and press F12 and go to 'Advanced Configuration' and press enter and set 'Tally.ERP is acting as' 'Both', Enable ODBC server" as 'YES', No need to change Port No. and save it or press ctrl+A, Tally will restart on ODBC server. Close Tally. Now run Tally as administrator. 4 In "TallyPrime" go to "Help" then go to "Settings" then go to "Connectivity" and press enter and set "TallyPrime is acts as" "Both", Enable ODBC" as "YES", No need to change Port No. and save it or press ctrl+A, Tally will restart on ODBC server. Close Tally. Now run Tally as administrator. 5 Click "Connect with Tally" Button, It will show all companies which are active in Tally, select the company which is running in Tally, then it will import all Ledger Names, Group Names, Stock Items Names, Stock Groups Name and Units in this Application. Company Name, its Ledgers and Stock Items will be shown on Home page. 6 Select Entry type from "Home" sheet or from the "QuickTally" Ribbon or go to your desired sheet for doing entries. During Copy paste ledger names must be as per Tally. Entries with errors are colored in blue. 7 Check your entries before posting in Tally, once entered in Tally, entries can not be reversed. It is advised to first test this Application with dummy data to avoid loss of data and wrong entries since this Application is still under development. 8 When entries are done, click "Post in Tally" Button in the Ribbon, if any error it will show the number of errors and the error type will be shown in entry row in error column. 9 If No error is found it will show number of entries in the sheet are ready to post in Tally, further it will ask whether post in Tally or not, if you click Yes it will post all entries in Tally and it will show the time taken in posting all entries in Tally. 10 Double click any cell under the Blue Heading or click Blue Button on any sheets , it will show the list of required options on the right hand side of window, select from the list the required option. Once entries posted in Tally you can not post again the same entries. 11 It will create Groups, Ledgers, Stock Groups and Stock Items simultaneously with posting entries in Tally. Always clear the sheet after entries are posted. Negative amount not allowed. You can convert Amounts in to positive Amount before posting into Tally. 12 System Requirements:- Windows7 and above, MS Office 2007 and above, RAM 2GB and above. Date format of the system must be DD-MM-YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY. If you using TallyPrime then Excel 64 bits is required.
